..aywkubttod - how near how far

Nicaragua is known as 'the land of lakes and volcanoes' for good reason. I took this photo from atop one of two volcanoes that comprise the island of Ometepe, itself in the middle of Lake Nicaragua. The bigger volcano can be seen shrouded by clouds in the distance. I took this from atop the smaller one. 'El pequeño' was still a three hour trek to the summit and the volcano kept a pair of my shoes as a keepsake.
